Overview
During this tour you will experience hiking through the outskirts of El Yunque National Rainforest. You'll spot the different fauna and flora and bathe in a waterfall. Participants must be capable of walking through rocky, muddy, uneven terrain and rock climb. This exhilarating experience includes water-related activities such as swinging from a rope into the natural pools, cliff jumping, and natural waterslides.
Since hurricanes Irma & Maria, most of the popularly known trails remain closed until further notice. Our tour route has been adapted into an "Off the Beaten Path" version in order to continue offering a full day of pure adventure.

- Estimate duration of 8 hrs includes: 3.5-4 hrs at the forest, 1.5 hr drive each way plus lunch time.

- On Saturdays the hike is longer and more challenging since we depart from a different point.

- Persons with the previously listed health restrictions cannot participate on the tour. No refunds will be authorized if a person neglects to read complete description and does not meet the safety requirements and limitations on the day of the tour.
- Please travel light and only bring the necessary to the tour. Leave behind electronic devices, any important documentation like passport, large sums of cash or credit cards. Cell phones require waterproof case.
- Published starting time is only an estimate. Exact pick up time will be provided the DAY PRIOR to your tour.
- Regularly sanitised high-traffic areas
- Social distancing enforced throughout experience
- Tour operates based weather and river conditions. In the event of poor weather you will be offered an alternate tour, option to reschedule or refund.
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Wear bathing suit underneath, bring a towel and change of clothes.
- Additional transfer fee from towns outside of San Juan/Metro area will apply (each way)
- Children must be 7 years to participate.
- Due to safety reasons participants must be able to understand English or Spanish. Legally blind or deaf persons are not able to participate due to the same. An alternative for persons with certain limitations is to book a Private Rainforest tour. Please c

- Failure to provide hotel/lodging or cruise information upon booking may result in bus not being able to pick you at your location or close to it. No refunds will be issued if you miss your pick up.
- Guides required to regularly wash hands
- Must have a good breakfast before departing on this tour.
- Once you begin the tour, you must finish it all the way up to the second stop and return back with the group.
- Participants must be physically capable of walking thru steep, rocky, muddy and uneven surfaces without assistance.
- Please dress appropriately: Wear hiking shoes (tennis with a good grip also works). Can also bring water shoes for when you go into the river. Please note: shoes will get wet and very muddy
- Pregnant women, participants with heart complaints, back or knee problems, recent injuries or surgeries, mobility limitations or other serious medical conditions cannot participate on this tour.
- Regular temperature checks for staff

- Use of lifejacket and helmet is mandatory. $100 fee will apply for each piece of equipment if not returned.

For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.

This excursion hands down was the most intense but most satisfying ever! The tour guide Franky was freaking fantastic & hilarious! The hike was very engaging and involved since you needed to climb, dip, and crawl but in the end it was all worth it. Definitely recommend.

This was amazing!! Be prepared to be covered in mud tho! Definitely worth it, 10/10 recommend. Hiked I think 45 minutes then got to enjoy the water. Frankie and Mitchel was veryyyy helpful and sweet !!!

Great tour guides. Fun hike. Trip includes hotel pickup/drop off/tour/ stop to make sure you have what you need/stop for lunch. Have to be in good physical shape to do the tour

Our tour guide was Frankie. We had an amazing time. This was more that just your standard hike. It was an adventure. It is difficult but the reward is more than worth it. They take pictures and videos along the way. Overall great experience!

This was one of the best excursions we have been on! My husband and I like to travel and we try to do at least 2 activities at each of the places we go to. This definitely sits at the top. It’s definitely physically demanding, but the tour guides are there to help support you along the journey and once you get to the natural water slides, the rope swing, and the cliff jump, it’s all worth it! Frankie was our tour guide, and he was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Chris was our “life guard,” he helped us along the trek and in the water to ensure our safety. You will have an absolute blast on this excursion, you should absolutely book it!

Our tour guide Ivan was the best !! I definitely recommend him for anybody looking to have a great experience en el Yunque, He was very kind and outgoing. Along the way he spoke about some history about the island and about how things came to be, the culture. We all felt very comfortable around him and had lots of laughs along the way as well. When it came to an end he recommended spots for food, drinks and music!! We all enjoyed our experience so much and were glad to have Ivan as our tour guide. 10/10 :D

Adriana and Louis were AMAZING. They kept us energized and excited for everything this trip had to offer. I felt safe the entire time although I could see how the hike could be pretty challenging for the unexperienced. However, I urge everyone to challenge themselves to be brave! It will be worth it! The experience is absolutely breathtaking and Adriana and Louis are super fun and informative, so you will learn a lot about El Yunque! Walking past the other tours that were going on, it was obvious we were given the best tour guides with the best company.
