Adventure for newbies
Chelsea_L, 18-06-2022
This was our first time kayaking, and it was definitely memorable. The guides were funny and patient with the newbies. The tour was serene!
Beautiful night!!

The beautiful surroundings like going through a tunnel in the dark quiet night. Only the sound of coqui! The bioluminescent water was magical!! Staff were nothing but friendly, helpful and calm!
Wonderful time!

Had a wonderful time with my family. Was picked up from my hotel in San Juan and transported in a comfortable bus (about an hour trip), given life vest and brief instruction by the team, then went out for about an hour on the water. There was bright moonlight which made it hard to see the bioluminesence at first, but the guides brought tarps, which helped a lot, and then there were many dark parts of our path down the river where you could see it very well. The bioluminesence was really amazing! We also happened to see a huge iguana, pointed out to use by the guides, which was pretty cool. The staff had some small snacks for us at the end. The guides and staff were extremely professional and nice and provided a wonderful experience. Tip - you will get wet from waist down, even if you don't tip over. We left our valuables (phones, etc) on the bus with no problem at all.
Fun kayaking experience

The kayaking in the lagoon!! very fun, and cool experience. The guides were knowledgeable and even brought tarps to ensure we could see the bioluminescence if the night sky was too bright.
The kayaking does require a bit a exercise :) and the guides where there to help (and also guide you to avoid the "traffic jam").
The bioluminescence was not that good due to the sky being too bright and also in the lagoon you are not allowed to swim (as could be possible in some other places).
Overall the experience is very fun and unique.
A Wonderful Experience

Great guides great company. Would highly recommend. The explanation of why the area creates the bioluminescent effect really made use appreciate the experience.
WOW

This was probably one of the COOLEST experiences I've had! Such a unique way to see the details of God's creation! The staff here was so upbeat and our tour guide, Emily, was especially awesome!
Thunder Cancellation
jplbp, 08-11-2022
Me and my friend Ben booked this tour. When we were on the kayaks it was already raining, but once be were on the water it started to thunder. The guides kept track of the distance and when the lighting got closer, they had a turn around. Although our night was cut short they offered to either refund us or rebook our trip. Im grateful for our guide Raphael and Captain Micheal because while other tours were heading further into the bay, our guides took our safety seriously. I will not be hesitating to book again with this company 10/10!
Brilliant adventure in the dark
lizsgrover, 02-11-2022
A very cool thing to do. Even just the kayaking through the mangroves in the dark was awesome enough. The bioluminescence was even better, though obviously better without clouds or a moon.
A must do!

We had an awesome experience!!! The guides were fantastic and we were able to see the bioluminiscence
Natural Magic

Absolutely magical experience. Rafael was amazing and you can tell this company cares about the environment.
A Spectacular Experience
Ann_G, 29-01-2023
It was fascinating learning about the conditions needed to create this phenomenon.
The paddle through th channel was really incredible, complete with "jungle sounds" . We were there on a night that the clouds were reflecting, yet we still got to see the glowing plankton from under a tarp.
Amazing stars above, bioluminescence below

Learned so much with AJ Emily Michael! Mangrove at night was indescribable. Highly recommend. With light pollution it was a little bright but tarps were provided. You still see the bioluminescence in the mangroves. Good stand and place to purchase towels, phone cases, etc. bathrooms didn’t have soap, locks, or toilet paper but not the fault of the tour!
Wonderful experience

It was an unforgetable experience. My daughter and I were in one kayak as I don't have much experience. Initially, I was a little worried about kayaking in the dark. However, Emily, one of the staff, was very knowlegable and helpful. We had a wonderful night.
Bio Bay
kellymV3244PB, 11-01-2023
The over all tour was nice. The company was well run and organized. The transpiration was timely and the driver was great. The main guide was knowledgable. The kayak tour to the bay was beautiful. The actual bio luminary was underwhelming. We had been warned that the experience had changed after the hurricane But it was not what we expected, and we were disappointed.
Not worth it
Amanda_G, 17-01-2023
The trip was managed well and transportation was easy along with getting in/out of the kayaks. However, this just isn’t worth it at all. A lot of money to see tiny sparks in the water. Guides were friendly but barely provided any education except in the middle and half of us couldn’t hear. Just skip it.
